Texas man shoots partner’s ex amid heated child custody battle

Chad Read, a 54-year-old Lubbock father, was fatally shot in South Lubbock outside his ex-wife's house after a confrontation between the former couple and the woman's boyfriend on Nov. 5.

 Chad arguing with his ex-wife, Christina Read, over not having one of the former couple's sons available at a court ordered time. 

During the argument, Christina could be heard saying the child was not home and that she was going to fetch him.  She also said that she didn't abide by the court ordered deadline because she wanted to see their son. 

"I don't care if you wanted to see him or not," Chad Read said. "I get him at 3:15 p.m. If you want to see him, you see him up until 3:15. You keep trying to keep my son from me."

Chad Read threatened to subpoena multiple people in response, including Kyle Carruth's ex wife, At that point, Kyle, who previously told Chad to leave the property, emerged from the home with a rifle.

The two was bumping chests as they argue. Chad Read challenged Kyle Carruth to use the weapon.

"Do it," Read can be heard saying. "You better ******* use it ************."

The two continue arguing. Jennifer Read, who is filming the altercation from a vehicle, tells someone off camera to call the police. Carruth is seen firing a shot on the ground at Read's feet.

Read places his hand on the gun, propelling Carruth away from him. Carruth then spins around and fires twice at Read, who could be heard saying, "think I'm ******* scared?"

Read who has dropped on the ground.

Chad Read was a Lubbock native who graduated from lewisville High School in 1985. The obituary says he was "a true entrepreneur in every sense of the word" and that he returned to Lubbock to raise a family in 2000. The obituary made no mention of his ex-wife Christina Read but indicated he had three children.

A funeral for Read took place on Nov. 12.

Judge Anne-Marie Carruth, who wrote that she was "notified that my husband, William Kyle Carruth, is under investigation for the shooting and killing of his girlfriend's children's father after he attempted to pick up his children late Friday afternoon. My knowledge of the incident is very limited at this time and it is my understanding that the police are still investigating."

Chad Read's obituary reveals recent marriage to Jennifer Read

An obituary for Chad Read indicated that he "married the love his life" Jennifer Read on Sept. 4, 2021.

Court filings show that the couple married in September 2009. They separated in July 2021 and Kyle Carruth filed for divorce in September. Their divorce was finalized two weeks after the shooting. 

Jennifer Read files petition for children; Kyle Carruth's lawyers say shooting was 'self defense'

Through an attorney, Jennifer Read filed a petition alleging that Christina Read has endangered the well-being of two children by allowing them to be in the presence of Kyle Carruth.

"The children are aware that Kyle Carruth shot and killed their father in front of their mother, step-brother, and myself," Read's affidavit states. "Christina's decision to allow either of these children to be in Kyle Carruth's presence has caused, and continues to cause, significant impairment of their emotional well-being. The oldest child has expressed to me that he blames his mother for the shooting, and that he will run away from home if he sees Kyle there again."

Carruth’s attorney, David M. Guinn with Hurley, Guinn & Singh, has argued that the shooting was self-defense.

“All Texans may lawfully brandish a firearm to protect themselves, their property and their business.” Guinn said.

২০১৭ সালের ২ মে রাতে বারাসতের হৃদয়পুরে নিজের বাড়িতেই খুন হন একটি বৈদেশিক মুদ্রা বিনিময় সংস্থায় কর্মরত অনুপম সিংহ। পরের দিন দেহ উদ্ধার করে তদন্তে নামে পুলিশ। খুনের ১৩ দিনের মাথায় প্রাথমিক তদন্তের ভিত্তিতে বারাসত থেকে মনুয়া মজুমদার (সিংহ) এবং তার প্রেমিক অজিতকে গ্রেফতার করে পুলিশ। প্রাথমিক তদন্তে পুলিশ জানতে পারে, অজিতের সঙ্গে মনুয়ার বিবাহ বহির্ভূত সম্পর্কের জেরেই অনুপমকে নৃশংস ভাবে খুন করে অজিত।

গত ২০১৭ সালের ২ মে প্রেমিক অজিতের সঙ্গে পরিকল্পনা করে স্বামী অনুপম সিংহকে ছক কষে খুন করে স্ত্রী মনুয়া। প্রেমিক অজিতকে নিজেদের ফাঁকা ফ্ল্যাটে ঢুকিয়ে বাইরে থেকে তালাবন্ধ করে চলে যায় মনুয়া। আগাম পরিকল্পনামাফিক প্রেমিক অজিতকে দিয়ে স্বামীকে খুন, ফোনের ওপার থেকে স্বামীর আর্ত চিৎকার স্ত্রী মনুয়ার ‘লাইভ’ শোনা, সেই নৃশংস হত্যাকাণ্ড নিয়ে তোলপাড় শুরু হয়।

গত ৩ মে, ২০১৭ হৃদয়পুরের সিংহ ভিলার ফ্ল্যাট থেকে উদ্ধার করা হয় অনুপমের দেহ।পুলিশি তদন্তে প্রধান অভিযুক্ত হিসেবে উঠে আসে মনুয়া ও তাঁর প্রাক্তন প্রেমিক অজিতের নাম। গ্রেফতার করা হয় দু’ জনকেই। জানা যায়, ছাত্রজীবনে অজিতের সঙ্গে প্রেমের সম্পর্ক ছিল মনুয়ার। তবে অনুপমের সঙ্গেও মনুয়ার বিয়ে হওয়ার আগে প্রেমের সম্পর্ক তৈরি হয়। কিন্তু বছর দেড়েক ঘুরতে না ঘুরতেই দাম্পত্য জীবনে নেমে আসে ওই নৃশংসতা!

খুনের পর থেকেই মিলছিল না অনুপম সিংহের তিনটি মোবাইল। যার মধ্যে একটি দিয়েছিল তাঁর স্ত্রী মনুয়া মজুমদার। মনুয়াকে জেরা করে একটি ফোনেরও হদিস মিলছিল না। অবশেষে ওই মহিলার প্রেমিক অজিত রায়কে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করে অনুপমের একটি ফোন উদ্ধার করছে পুলিশ। খুনের আগে মনুয়া ও অনুপমের মধ্যে কখন ও কতক্ষণ কথা হয়েছিল, ওই মোবাইল থেকে জানা গিয়েছে তা-ও। অনুপমের সেই ফোনের ইনবক্স ঘেঁটেও বেশ কিছু তথ্য উদ্ধার করেছে পুলিশ।

তদন্তে নেমে পুলিশ জানতে পেরেছে, বাংলাদেশের বাসিন্দা, সরল স্বভাবের স্বামী অনুপমকে একেবারেই পছন্দ ছিল না মনুয়ার। বাংলাদেশ থেকে বন্ধুবান্ধব ও আত্মীয়স্বজন প্রায়ই অনুপমের বাড়িতে আসত।
তাঁদের আদর-আপ্যায়ন করতে বিরক্তও হতো মনুয়া।

শুধু তা-ই নয়, বিয়ের আগে তাদের পরিবারে মদ্যপানের রেওয়াজ ছিল বলে জানিয়েছে মনুয়া। বন্ধুদের আড্ডাতেও মাঝেমধ্যে মদ্যপান করত সে। অন্য দিকে, অনুপম ও তাঁর পরিবার ছিল এ সবের থেকে দূরে।

তদন্তে উঠে আসে, অনুপমের মাথায় ভারী অস্ত্র দিয়ে আঘাত করে খুন করা হয়েছিল। খুনের দিন তাঁর স্ত্রী মনুয়া বাপেরবাড়িতে থাকলেও ঘটনার সময় প্রেমিক অজিতের মোবাইলে ফোন করে অনুপমের আর্তনাদ শুনেছিল। তদন্তকারীরা এ-ও জানতে পারেন, খুনের ঘটনার দিন অর্থাৎ ২ মে দুপুরে ওই বাড়িতে গিয়েছিল মনুয়া ও তার প্রেমিক অজিত। পরে মনুয়া বাপেরবাড়ি ফিরে গেলেও অজিত ওই বাড়িতেই লুকিয়ে ছিল। অনুপম আসতেই তাকে আক্রমণ করে অজিত। লোহার রড দিয়ে পিটিয়ে মাথা থেঁতলে খুন করা হয় অনুপমকে।

তদন্তের জাল গুটিয়ে হত্যা-কাণ্ডের ৮৬ দিন পরে চার্জশিট জমা দেয় বারাসাত থানার পুলিশ।ফিঙ্গারপ্রিন্ট ও ফরেনসিক রিপোর্ট, ফোনের কল ডিটেলস-সহ যাবতীয় তথ্যপ্রমাণ চার্জশিটের সঙ্গে দেওয়া হয়। আনা হয় ৩০২ ধারায় খুন, ১২০বি ধারায় ষড়যন্ত্র, ২০১ ধারায় প্রমাণ লোপাটের মতো ধারা। পুরো মামলায় মোট ৩১ জন সাক্ষী দেন। ৪৭৮ পাতার চার্জশিটের সঙ্গে যুক্ত হয় অতিরিক্ত চার্জশিটও। সব মিলিয়ে প্রায় দেড় হাজার থেকে দু’হাজার পাতার নথিপত্র পরীক্ষা, সাক্ষীদের বয়ান, সরকারি ও অভিযুক্ত পক্ষের আইনজীবীদের দীর্ঘ সওয়াল-জবাবের ভিত্তিতে বৃহস্পতিবার মনুয়া ও অজিতকে দোষী সাব্যস্ত করেন বিচারক বৈষ্ণব সরকার।

অনুপমের পরিবার ও বন্ধুরা বারবারই দু’জনের ফাঁসির শাস্তি দাবি করেছেন। এ দিনও বারাসত আদালতে ছিলেন তাঁরা। বিচারক দোষী সাব্যস্ত হওয়ার পর ফের মৃত্যুদণ্ডের সাজাই চেয়েছেন তাঁরা।

দক্ষিণ দিনাজপুরে (South Dinajpur)। ত্রিকোণ প্রেমের (Love Affair) জেরে পিকনিকের আসরে স্বামীকে খুনের (Killed Husband) অভিযোগ মহিলার বিরুদ্ধে। মৃতের নাম অনুপ সরকার (৫০)।

সাধুহার গ্রামের বাসিন্দা অনুপ সরকারের সঙ্গে বিয়ে হয়েছিল কাঞ্চনার। এলাকায় তন্ত্রসাধনার কাজ করত কাঞ্চনা। এরই মাঝে কাঞ্চনার সঙ্গে ঝাড়খণ্ডের বাসিন্দা ইমেল হাঁসদার সম্পর্ক তৈরি হয়। শুধুমাত্র ইমেল হাঁসদা নয় একাধিক পুরুষের সঙ্গেও বিবাহবহির্ভূত সম্পর্কে কাঞ্চনা জড়িয়ে পড়েছিল বলে অভিযোগ। এক শুক্রবার রাতে অনুপ সরকারের বাড়িতে পিকনিকের একটি আসর বসেছিল। যেখানে অপু প্রামাণিক, স্বপন প্রামাণিক, ইমেল হাঁসদাও ছিলেন। সেখানেই তাঁদের সঙ্গে অনুপ সরকারের বচসা বাধে। অভিযোগ, সেই সময়ই অনুপকে খুন করে বাড়ির সামনে ঝুলিয়ে দিয়েছিলেন তাঁরা। আর তাঁদের সঙ্গ দিয়েছিল কাঞ্চনা। 

স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা গিয়েছে, কাঞ্চনার বিবাহবহির্ভূত সম্পর্কের জেরে গ্রামের মধ্যে একাধিকবার সালিশি সভা বসেছিল। বেশ কয়েকবার খুনের হুমকিও দেওয়া হয়েছিলেন অনুপ সরকারকে। অভিযোগ, বেশ কয়েকবার অনুপকে মিথ্যে মামলায় ফাঁসিয়ে ছিল কাঞ্চনা। তার জন্য তাঁকে বেশ কয়েকবার জেলও খাটতে হয়েছিল। কাঞ্চনার সম্পর্কগুলির মাঝে পথের কাঁটা হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছিলেন তিনি। পথ থেকে সরাতেই তাঁকে খুন করেন । 

অভিযুক্ত (Accused) কাঞ্চনা সরকারকে মারধর করে উত্তেজিত জনতা। খবর পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে যান বংশীহারী থানার (Banshihari Police Station) আইসি মনোজিৎ সরকার। 

স্ত্রীর ব্লেড চালিয়ে খুনের আগে আমবাগানেই যৌনতায় স্বামী

প্রেমিকের সঙ্গে আগেই ছক কষে রেখেছিল স্ত্রী। রাতে খাওয়াদাওয়া সেরে নির্জন জায়গায় মিলিত হওয়ার ‘টোপ’ দিয়ে স্বামীকে ডেকে নিয়ে গিয়েছিল। তারপর স্বামী-স্ত্রী দু’জনে যখন একান্ত ঘনিষ্ঠ অবস্থায়। ঠিক তখনই প্রেমিক পিছন থেকে চেপে ধরে ধারালো ব্লেড চালাতে থাকে। স্বামীর গলা থেকে ফিনকি দিয়ে রক্ত এসে লাগে স্ত্রীর মুখে, বুকে। প্রেমিকের হাত থেকে ব্লেডটা নিজে একবার নিয়ে চালিয়ে দেয় স্বামীর গলায়। তারপর পুকুরের জলে হাত ধুয়ে হাঁটা দেয় বাড়ির দিকে। পূর্ব বর্ধমান জেলার আউশগ্রাম থানার জামতাড়া গ্রামে মধুসূদন বাউড়ি নামে যুবকের গলার নলি কেটে খুনের ঘটনায় নয়া তথ্য পেল পুলিশ।

দেহ উদ্ধারের পরেরদিনেই নিহতের স্ত্রী প্রীতি বাউড়ি ও তার প্রেমিক প্রতিবেশী যুবক মঙ্গল বাউড়িকে গ্রেপ্তার করে পুলিশ। 

প্রায় সাত বছর আগে মানকরের মেয়ে প্রীতির সঙ্গে বিয়ে হয়েছিল জামতাড়া গ্রামের মধুসূদনের। তাদের দু’টি সন্তানও রয়েছে। ছেলের বয়স ৫ বছর। মেয়ে আড়াই বছরের। মেয়ের জন্মের আগে থেকেই মঙ্গলের সঙ্গে পরকীয়ায় জড়িয়ে পড়ে প্রীতি।

প্রেমিকের সঙ্গে মিলে স্বামীকে খুন করার অভিযোগ উঠল স্ত্রীর বিরুদ্ধে। মৃতের নাম সঞ্জয় হাজরা। বছর আটত্রিশের সঞ্জয়,  স্ত্রী এবং বাচ্চাকে নিয়ে থাকতেন। লেদ কারখানার শ্রমিক । শনিবার ব্যক্তির লিলুয়া থানার ভট্টনগর এলাকার বাড়ি থেকেই সঞ্জয়ের রক্তাক্ত দেহ উদ্ধার করা হয়। বিষয়টির তদন্ত শুরু করেছে লিলুয়া থানার পুলিশ। সঞ্জয়ের স্ত্রী মৌসুমী ও তার প্রেমিক বিরজু দাস পরিকল্পিতভাবে ওই খুন করেছে বলে অভিযোগ। 

একটি কো-অপারেটিভ ব্যাঙ্কের অ্যাম্বুল্যান্স চালক বিরজু। প্রায়ই তিনি সুকান্তপল্লীর বাসিন্দা  সঞ্জয়ের বাড়িতে আসা-যাওয়া করতেন। সম্প্রতি মৌসুমীর সঙ্গে বিরজুর বিবাহ-বর্হিভূত সম্পর্ক তৈরি হয়সঞ্জয়ের দাদা সংবাদমাধ্যমকে জানান, বহু বছর ধরে বিরজুর সঙ্গে পরকীয়ায় লিপ্ত ছিলেন ওই মহিলা। বিষয়টি নিয়ে প্রতিবাদ করায় শাশুড়িকে বাড়ি থেকে তাড়িয়ে দেন পূত্রবধূ, এমনটাই অভিযোগ।

পুলিশ সূত্রে খবর, ঘরের ভিতর থেকে উদ্ধার হয়েছে রক্তমাখা কাঁসর। সেটা দিয়েই সঞ্জয়ের মাথায় আঘাত করে তাঁকে খুন করা হয়েছে বলে মনে করছে পুলিশ। এদিকে সঞ্জয়ের মৃত্যু নিশ্চিত হতেই সন্তানকে সঙ্গে নিয়ে ঘরে তালা লাগিয়ে পলাতক মৌসুমী। নিখোঁজ বিরজুও। তাদের খোঁজ শুরু করেছে লিলুয়া থানার পুলিশ।

The daughter-in-law fell in love with the father-in-law so much that she ran away from the house leaving the innocent child, seeing both of them in this condition, the family members were shocked.

 In Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, a sensational incident of suicide of father-in-law and daughter-in-law shocked the family members.  The dead body of father-in-law and daughter-in-law was found hanging from the noose in the tree.

Actually, this incident is of village Kaneri of Chakarbhatha police station area, where the sensation spread due to the finding of two-three days old dead body hanging on the noose of father-in-law and daughter-in-law of Kaneri village. The villagers told that the two deceased were in love with each other, perhaps that is why both of them hanged themselves. After the information, the police reached the spot and is investigating the matter 

According to the police, there was a love affair between Kheluram Kewat (50 years) resident of Kaneri village and his nephew’s wife Geeta alias Dukhiya Kewat (36 years). A relationship between the two, grew so much that Dukhiya Bai left her two young children and ran away with uncle father-in-law. Kheloram also has two children.

Chakarbhatha police station in-charge Sunil Tirkey told that Geeta has two small children (boys). One is 6 years old and the other is 4 years old. Geeta’s husband is mentally weak. Often he used to have epileptic seizures. He used to work in the fields. Khelu Ram also used to do farming work. He has 5 big children. Many years ago his wife has died. According to the villagers, Kheluram used to help his nephew’s family. During this time he had a relationship with Geeta.

The family and the police are currently assuming that both may have committed suicide out of shame and self-indulgence. No suicide note or any other material was found from the spot.

Husband Files Kidnapping Case Against 4 In Assam's Dhubri The husband identified as Manteshwar Roy (38) alleged in his FIR that his wife Monika Bala Roy (24) ran away along with their two-year-old son and took away Rs 35, 000 cash and other valuables.

The husband however, suspecting that four persons has kidnapped his wife. In the FIR he has accused Sujit alias Laddu, Hemanta Roy, Ved Roy and Mantosh Roy for allegedly kidnapping his wife. Meanwhile, the husband has urged his wife to come back home at the earliest.

Harassed by wife, newly wed man kills self by consuming poison in UP village

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुजफ्फरनगर के एक गांव में नवविवाहित 23 वर्षीय युवक ने शादी के महज 5 दिन बाद ही अपनी पत्नी और साले द्वारा कथित तौर पर प्रताड़ित किए जाने के बाद जहर खाकर आत्महत्या कर ली।

पुलिस ने शनिवार को इस बारे में जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि घटना शुक्रवार को बाबरी थाना क्षेत्र के अंतर्गत एक गांव में हुई। पुलिस ने शव को पोस्टमॉर्टम के लिए भेजकर मामले की जांच शुरू कर दी है।

A 23-year-old man who had been married only a week killed himself by consuming poison in a village in Uttar Pradesh., allegedly over harassment by his wife and brother-in-law, police said on Saturday.

The incident took place on Friday under Babri Police Station area.

According to police, Prayas, the deceased, who had got married to a woman named Komal on November 14, died by suicide, consuming some poisonous substance in Choonsa village of the Shamli district.

Seema, the sister of the deceased, in a complaint lodged with the police, alleged that her brother took the extreme step after he was abused by his wife Komal and brother-in-law Nitin Kumar.

An investigation is on in the matter, police said.

Ludhiana: A woman and her two relatives have been booked for abetment to suicide after her 35-year-old husband, identified as Baldev Raj, ended his life at their house in Atal Nagar, Tibba, on Thursday.

The man committed suicide by hanging, his mother Bimla Devi’s complaint to Ludhiana police says; she says 

“Baldev had got married to Anita in 2011. They have two children. Due to their strained relations, Anita left our house four months ago, leaving the children with us. 

She left again on September 27, she returned, but again had a fight with Baldev. Two days later, she left our house, went to her aunt’s place and filed a complaint of harassment against us, on September 29. The police had even summoned us for questioning.”

Assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Sukhdev Singh, who is investigating the case, said a case under Sections 306 (abetment to suicide) and 34 (acts done by common intention) of the IPC has been registered against the accused. 

“At the police station, Anita refused to come home and went with her aunt and cousin. Baldev felt humiliated. The investigating officer of the case was also harassing Baldev,” Bimla Devi added.

An audio message, reportedly left by the victim, before committing suicide has emerged, in which he has accused his wife, her two relatives and a Khanna-based medical practitioner of forcing him to end his life. The note accuses the ASI of throwing him in the lock-up and releasing him only after taking a bribe. Assistant commissioner of police (ACP east) Davinder Chaudhary said investigation was on and action will be taken based on its report. “An abetment to suicide case has been registered against Anita and her two relatives. We are verifying the allegations against the ASI.

 In another incident May 3, 2021,

Tibba police on Saturday evening booked a woman for abetting suicide after her husband ended his life allegedly after getting “fed up” of her fights. The accused was identified as Monika. 

Neelam Rani of Gurmail park in Tibba Road, in her police complainant, said her son Bhushan got married to the accused in 2016. She added that Monika would frequently fight with her son and, fed up of that, he ended his life by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at home. Neelam Rani  went to her son’s room to give him lunch but found him hanging from the fan. 

Police later booked the accused under Section 306 of IPC (Abetment to suicide). 

Investigating officer (IO) of the case, assistant sub-inspector Gurpreet Singh said the accused is on the run and a manhunt has been launched to arrest her. He added that the accused along with her three-year-old daughter had left her husband’s place about a month ago and had been living at her parents place in Mayapuri area.

A married middle-aged Muslim woman, 40-year-old, from Nagaon district in Assam allegedly ran away from her home with different men 25 times in the last ten years. Her husband has said he is willing to 'accept her'.

According to the father-in-law of the woman, she has ‘eloped’ with different men 20-25 times since she  tied the knot with his son Mafizuddin, a driver by profession, at remote Dhing Lahkar village in Central Assam's Nagaon district.

The woman and her husband, a resident of Dhing Lahkar village in Central Assam, Notably, the woman has two minor sons aged 3 years and 3 months respectively, and a 6-year-old daughter. 

 According to the neighbours of the family, the woman has illicit relations with many young men in the village and has run away with different lovers. However, after a few weeks or months, she always returned to her in-laws family.

Her husband Mafizuddin said that after coming back, his wife promises to not run away again, but fails to keep her commitment.

Every time she has run away from her home in the past, she has returned within a few days.

Recently, the woman allegedly eloped with a man from her locality. This is purportedly the 25th time she ran away.

Her husband,  narrated, “On September 4, when I returned to my home from a motor garage, I didn’t find my wife. She had run away after giving my 3-month-old baby to a nearby house. She told the neighbours that she was going to search for some foods for the goats. She ran away and took Rs 22,000 and other ornaments from my house.”

After 20 years of marriage, the woman sat on her boyfriend’s bike and left. Her husband committed suicide in Kalna.

Sudeb tried hard to get his wife to stay with him. But nothing happened. On Monday afternoon, Tumpa went out again by bike with her boyfriend. As she was leaving, she waved to Sudebbabu and left. The family claimed that Sudeb felt humiliated when he saw his wife leaving in front of his eyes. Sudeb committed suicide at his father-in-law’s house on Monday night. 

According to police sources, the name of the young man who committed suicide is Sudeb Dey. His hanging body was recovered from the attic of his father-in-law’s house on Tuesday morning. Sudeb’s father-in-law’s house in Kalna.

বুলদানাBuldana: এক মাস আগে বুলদানা জেলার মালকাপুর তালুকের স্বামী দেবধাবা (Devdhaba in Malkapur taluka of Buldana district) কে ছেড়ে ২৪ বছর বয়সী এক বিবাহিত মহিলা কাউকে কিছু না বলে প্রেমিক রাজধর সম্ভাজি নীল (বয়স 22) এর সাথে চলে যান। এদিকে, জানা গেছে যে নিখোঁজ বিবাহিত দম্পতি ২১ অক্টোবর রাতে মুম্বাইয়ের ভান্ডুপে গলায় ফাঁস দিয়ে আত্মহত্যা করেছেন। আত্মহত্যাকারী দুজনের নাম শীতল সাপকাল ও রাজধর নীল Sheetal Sapkaal and Rajdhar Nile।

জানা গেছে, একই দিনে,এখান থেকে রাজধর সম্ভাজি নীল (বয়স 22) এর  ভাই সম্ভাজি তানাজি নীল নিখোঁজ হওয়ার অভিযোগ দায়ের করেছিলেন।

দম্পতি সরাসরি মুম্বাই পৌঁছে এবং ভান্ডুপের রামনগর এলাকায় একটি বাড়ি ভাড়া নেয় এবং স্বামী-স্ত্রী হয়ে থাকতে শুরু করেন। যাইহোক, এক মাস পরে, ভান্দুপ পুলিশ ৮.৩০ এ খবর পায়। (গত ২১ অক্টোবর) নিজ বাসভবনে গলায় ফাঁস দিয়ে জীবন শেষ করেন দুজন। রাত  গ্রামে তোলপাড় সৃষ্টি করে। নিহত শীতলের চার ও ছয় বছর বয়সী দুই সন্তান ছিল।

Buldana : A married woman from Buldanyachi district ran away with her boyfriend. 

Sheetal Sapkal, a 24-year-old married woman from Devdhaba in Malkapur taluka of Buldana district, had fled the village a month ago with her boyfriend Rajdhar Sambhaji Nile (age 22), leaving her husband and two children behind.

After fleeing from Devdhaba, they rented a house in Ramnagar area of Bhandup in Mumbai and lived together as husband and wife. However, on October 21, the two ended their lives by hanging themselves at their residence. This created a stir in the village.

The deceased, Sheetal, had two children aged four and six, both of whom were abandoned.

Finally, on October 21, it was reported that both of them had strangled each other. She left her married husband and two children and went to her boyfriend. The villagers kept thinking about what happened within a month that both of them ended their lives by hanging.

ROORKEE: Police have registered a case against a newly-married woman for allegedly decamping with cash and jewellery from her husband’s house after serving dinner laced with sedatives to the family on Saturday.

The incident came to light on Sunday when the neighours spotted the family members lying unconscious. On information, police reached the spot and rushed them to a nearby hospital.

Sources said that 38-year-old Raju, a resident of Mohanpura in Roorkee, got married to Gudia, 30, from Aligarh recently. He said, “For the past one week, she had been taking good care of us. However, she mixed sedatives with our dinner on Saturday and fled with jewellery, mobile phones and other valuables.”

Based on a complaint, police have registered a case against Gudia under sections 328 (causing hurt by means of poison) and 380 (theft) of the Indian Penal Code.

A bride ran away with cash and jewellery given by the groom’s family in Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri district. Soon after getting married, when the groom was taking the bride to his home, she stopped him at a bus stand and asked him to bring a bottle of water. When the groom returned, he found out that the bride was gone with all the belongings including ₹80,000 cash and jewellery, as per a report by Aaj Tak.

Rajendra, a resident of Paraunkha village in Bewar police station area, was unable to find a girl to get his son married. On August 16, a person named Roop Lal, who had relatives in the village, suggested a girl to Rajendra he knew would marry his son, but he would have to pay her ₹80,000. The next day, Rajendra’s son Raju and the girl Sunita got married in a Sheetla Dham temple and the promised cash was exchanged

In a similar incident that happened in May this year, a woman in Agra had run away with ₹50,000 and jewellery after sedating her husband and father-in-law.

Rape case accused says PSI of Mahila Police Station in A’bad demanded Rs35 lakh bribe

A rape case accused has alleged that a cop investigating the case has sought Rs35 lakh bribe from him. MD of GSP Crop Company, Kenal Shah in a complaint to the Crime Branch said that Mahila Police Station PSI Shweta Jadeja had demanded Rs35 lakh bribe from him. The Special Operations Group has begun questioning the PSI after a case was registered in this connection. 

A complaint of rape was filed against Shah by a female employee of his company in the year 2017. While the case was being investigated a complaint of threatening the witnesses in the case was also filed against Shah in the Satellite police station. This complaint was filed by one Yograjsinh Raval, a resident of Harinandan Society in Odhav. Raval had worked as a security executive for 3.5 years in the company’s office in Kathwada. Since Raval was a witness in the rape case registered against Shah, he was suspended from the company.

Shah in his complaint to the Crime Branch said that PSI Jadeja had been investigation the rape case against him. She had demanded Rs35 lakh as a bribe of which he had already paid Rs20 lakh. He said PSI Jadeja began threatening him after he delayed payment of the rest of the money
