Rape case accused says PSI of Mahila Police Station in A’bad demanded Rs35 lakh bribe

A rape case accused has alleged that a cop investigating the case has sought Rs35 lakh bribe from him. MD of GSP Crop Company, Kenal Shah in a complaint to the Crime Branch said that Mahila Police Station PSI Shweta Jadeja had demanded Rs35 lakh bribe from him. The Special Operations Group has begun questioning the PSI after a case was registered in this connection. 
A complaint of rape was filed against Shah by a female employee of his company in the year 2017. While the case was being investigated a complaint of threatening the witnesses in the case was also filed against Shah in the Satellite police station. This complaint was filed by one Yograjsinh Raval, a resident of Harinandan Society in Odhav. Raval had worked as a security executive for 3.5 years in the company’s office in Kathwada. Since Raval was a witness in the rape case registered against Shah, he was suspended from the company.
Shah in his complaint to the Crime Branch said that PSI Jadeja had been investigation the rape case against him. She had demanded Rs35 lakh as a bribe of which he had already paid Rs20 lakh. He said PSI Jadeja began threatening him after he delayed payment of the rest of the money
